The Sleeper
Comic Short Story Competition
This is a short story competition with a twist. We have had graphic artist Chris Greybe create a character, and we have given this character a limited back story to maintain cohesion. We are now asking people to create stories around this character.
|
Comic short stories and the graphic novel have fascinated, entertained and educated us throughout our history. From the earliest cave man drawings to the latest graphic novels, the image has been used as an integral part of many a good story. |

Although graphic stories have never really disappeared from our reading choices they are fast gaining new ground in the 21st century. Even Shakespeare has been rendered as a graphic novel. To celebrate this marriage of story and art we are running a competition with an unusual concept. |
From the winning entries we hope to build up a collection of stories which will be transformed in to graphic stories and published and distributed for free in the UK. The competition will be judged by a panel of our resident authors. |
